Central Synagogue Attack Rattles Jewish New Yorkers

The police said a man on Friday night struck a congregant at the prominent Upper East Side synagogue, as Jews in the city contend with threats, fears and internal divides.Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said Central Synagogue was receiving additional police resources after a man disrupted worship there on Friday night.
