Justice Dept. Issued, Then Withdrew, Grand Jury Subpoenas of Journalists

The administration backed down after the news organizations, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, fought them in sealed filings.The Justice Department had sought information related to reporting on top officials warning President Trump of the risks of a major military campaign against Iran and on U.S. military action in Venezuela.
