Spirit once upended the industry by offering very low fares but was in its second bankruptcy in two years after years of struggle.The Spirit Airlines ticket counter at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in Romulus, Mich., was empty after the airline shut down overnight on Saturday.
