Homeland Security Intensifies Pursuit of Noncitizens on Voter Rolls

Immigrants who said they inadvertently registered to vote while obtaining or renewing driver’s licenses are increasingly facing deportation under the Trump administration.In the past, the Homeland Security Department has not aggressively tried to deport the relatively small number of noncitizens who unlawfully registered to vote.
