California Hopes to Speed Up Election Results With $40 Million Infusion

It took six days to determine the outcome of the primary for Los Angeles mayor, and seven for the governor’s race.California will spend $40 million to help counties accelerate their ballot counts in November. Some of the money will encourage voters to participate earlier if they plan to use mail ballots.
